My Children are grown now and I have one daughter, Jena who lives in Orlando and one son, Terry who is aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt on a 7 month tour. My oldest boy Brandon who passed away in March of 2007.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
How to be his support and be strong and let him know how proud of him I am and that keeping in touch with letters and care packages, and never let him forget how much I love him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Cynthia, have you heard of the Central Florida Group. I don't know all the ladies in the Central Florida Group but we are having a get together on 8/22 for packing and shipping of supplies to our sailors. Hey there girl! Am finally able to stop by and say hi to people again (boss is out of the office the rest of the week!). How are you? How's Terry? Isn't it just WONDERFUL to have them back stateside?!?!
Danny comes home to Houston for 2 weeks starting on July 2. I can't wait - he already put together a list of things he wants momma to cook for him!!!

hey cindy how is everything going?the insanity continues here,i stayed in jax till sunday,he stayed at the navy lodge with me,they had no place for him to live after the cruise.so i got home sunday afternoon,monday nite i broke my foot,cannot walk around at all no weight bearing.he came home on tuesday and its been crazy here.he is so out of sorts and has a real short fuse.he is going back to base tommorow.how has terry been?

Hi Cindy - God YES - it was so great to hear that "Hi Momma" that I have been missing so much for so long. He sounded so good!!! I am leaving VERY early on the 16th to head to Norfolk to see him and I can't wait. I just wish that I was going to get a chance to meet and HUG you! You are so very dear to me and know that I could not/WOULD not ever forget you! I( know VERY soon you will be able to hug Terry too, and you and I WILL be able to feel our hugs for our sons across the miles. And I will be sending my love and hugs to you and Terry from Norfolk! Love you bunches my friend - God Bless ya'll and you have a great day!
