Oh, the irony of ironing, well sort of. . .

I was just telling someone the other day a story about when Sutton was not even 7 years old. We were having dinner one night--I was pregnant with his sister--and I had made a hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and corn. I said to Sutton's dad that I had been wanting mashed potatoes and corn for days, but I wouldn't fix it because I was thinking that it would be two starches. Hey Cyndi, Casey is doing good, too. He is also at Goose Creek. Derrick and I were just there last weekend. (The Navy Ball !!!) Casey has a girlfriend, whom we got to meet. She seems really nice and sweet. Glad to hear Sutton is doing well. Take care....Nancy

Cyndi it was nice to meet you at the meet and greet and your friend as well. My husband, Jeff, really enjoyed chatting with you! :) Thanks for puttin' up with a Navy Dad! :) LOL I am off this week recovering from foot surgery so have had time to read these boards, very active - Whew! Hey Cyndi! Ahhh, I wish I could have met Sutton! and i wish I would have seen you at PIR, but atleast we got to meet Thursday. I had such a blast at the meet and greet and loved meeting you and your friend! Tell her I said Hi. She was such a sweetheart! It's so neat that she met up with you to go! How is Sutton doing? Is he settled in at A School?

Hey Cyndi, Both Kyle and Casey are getting settled into their A school. Kyle had duty last night, but texted me to tell me he loved me and good night. Casey has called me twice since I left him. Quite a difference since boot camp. I know what you mean about being sad. I held it together really well during the graduation and the whole weekend, but after I got home it hit me and I cried. Crazy, huh? Talk to ya soon...

Cyndi - I teach in a federal government school and you can imagine the firewalls....LOL Anyway - yes, we are planning on being there in time for the meet and greet. We have about a 14 hour drive from SC - but we are Chicago-bound! :) See you soon!
