Ok. mine is the same. I'm flying out 2 weeks from today as well. do you know where you will be staying at yet? I'm staying at the holiday Inn, in gurnee. about 7 miles from the base. I don't know if you may know, I was told that they give 4 tickets. and was told that if you don't have a ticket, they are stand bys and usually gets in after the ticket holders. I rec'd a letter from my son today, he said that if you don't have a ticket you can't even get on base? do you know anything about this??

17 more days till i see my son. I've only rec'd 2 letters. he mentioned before that they only mail out on mondays. I know his girlfriend rec'd a letter last week...grrr.! and one of his brothers. so i'm sure he doesn't have a lot of time to write letters. and don't feel bad about the cell phone, I actually did the same thing to hear his voice, but forgot he had his service suspended until he can have his phone. that way it only cost 10.00 a month for it instead of the whole monthly charge. but i was disapointed that I didn't hear his voice. :( .... I keep leaving him comments on his myspace. so when he can check it out he will have some things to read on there. I'm such a sap...lol......... when is your son graduating again?

Thank you, I'm finding it funny how many people I have things in common with . . . I'm from California (bay area) and moved to Tucson - I joke about how CA wasn't warm enough:)!

I finally had that ticket issue taken care of. i couldn't beleive the issues they gave me. so i was able to book again last night. that was a stressful week for me. how are you doing?

ahh, that was so nice of his mate to call you for him. kudos for Ben! I'm actually having a nightmare booking my flights. I booked the flights yesterday, rec'd by confirmation through my e-mail, open it up, and what do I see, I see a person's name the tickets that I don't even know. both tickets has the same name. I've been fighting with travelocity and they will not correct the name on the tickets. even though they see the same name on both tickets. it's been hell fighting them. they said I have to cancel the fights(which they will charge me a cancelation fee) and then wait 60 days for my refund! I explained over and over with them that I can't wait, I need the money now so I can book my flights. all the said was sorry we can't change the name and that's out policy. can you beleive this? I was on the phone with them last night for 3.5 hours, today 2 and tonight another hour. still will not change the names. I even tried cancelling of my credit card myself, telling them I did not authorize these tickets to be booked in the names of whoever they are. and they told me they can't remove it until I get an auth. number from travelocity...... sorry about this, I just needed to vent! :(
I'm going to keep fighting it! that's all I can do and pray :)
but anyway, thanks for the comment. and I hope your son is feeling better! where is your son going to after grad?
