Our son just left for boot Thursday the 25th of June. We had a few questions re: what can we send to our son while he is in boot camp? Did you hear from your son at all while in boot camp? Did you go back for the graduation and if you did where did you stay?

Is your son done with A school?

Hi Dana & Welcome!
You'll find alot of support & encouragement here at Navy4Moms.

I remember the bc days...my son has been in for seventeen months now and is currently on his first deployment. I thought bc was hard but having your loved one away on deployment is even tougher.

I'm north of you near the Anaheim area.
Keep in touch!

Blessings, Karen

No, I have never used the Navy Lodge. Karen, below, may be able to help you on that one...she is on her third son in the Navy! With just my one having been in the NJROTC in high school and doing two summers at Great Lakes, I was familiar with the area, and stayed in a hotel. You may also want to check out the groups on this website that are called PIR with recent or upcoming dates. They generally have a lot of information on where people stay...what to do...what to bring...how to do...where to go.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
