This is Caseys first tour of Iraq. It takes a lot of geting used to not knowing where they are for sure. Britt is a Master at Arms ( Navy Security ) She has a job that she cant talk about either. So I know they are both happy with what they are doing. Both being in the military helps them because some stuff I dont understand they can talk to each other about. That is so cool that your son was on the cover of time magazine. Congratulatios to your daughter. Britt said the kids coming from Montana have an advantage at boot camp because everyone wants to know about Montana and the kids seem to have more comon sense. So who are your parents?

Hi, Dawn. I have a son in the Army and my daughter is in the Navy. It does get a little confusing keeping the two seperated. Casey my son enlisted May 14 2008 and Britt was in Dep and left for Boot camp on July 22 2008. Casey is in Iraq now. That is a whole other thing to get used to. Britt is in MD and loves it she is a Master at Arms. These are my only two so also getting used to the empty nest thing. Congratulations to your daughter. What does your son do in the ARMY? What is your daughter going for in the NAVY?

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Thinking about joining
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I've got a whole new branch of the military to learn about. Gets kind of confusing, trying to keep the Army way of life separted from the Navy way of life.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
