Dear DawnRae,
I never heard of a base not having a galley I can't believe they expect the kids to supply their own food and cook. They might as well have their own apartment in that case!!!

My girlfriend uses her crockpot a lot, she loves it. She cooks everything in it!! That would be more nutrious for Amber to eat, then food from a microwave

I keep telling Kim to take pictures of her and her friends, the ship and even her at work. She hasn't bothered yet! UGH!!

Dear Dawn,
So far with my arthirtis, it comes and goes. It doesn't seem to be affected by the cold, but then, I don't go out much if it's too cold out side!! HAHA!!

WIth Amber calling, the time difference is a pain in the butt. When my girlfriend calls relatives in Sicily, the same thing. Many times she'll get a call 1 AM, and it probably 7 PM there.

About being "Americanized", there's nothing wrong with that!! A Chineses buffet I always go to, one of my favorite waitress's was trying to become Americanized,. That was great, she was doing well. Her English was coming along that we were able to converse.

But, then one time I go back to eat, and ask about her. She was fired. The manager told me, she mouthed off to him, and in front of customers!! I don't know where that came from! She deserved to get fired. I don't where she thought she could do that !

Poor thing, that must have been difficult for Amber. A long plane ride alone to a foreign country. You know she'll be fine once she's on the base.

My prayers go with her. She'll be fine.

You want to laugh, at least in Italy, the life style isn't much different from ours. My girlfriend is from Sicily, it's basically the same here.

My girlfriend's daughter was invited to her friends wedding in Morrocco, all expences paid. This just happened. Morrocco, the women there are oppressed, they are sold for wives!!

Thank God this girl, Kathy, was with her girlfriend who was with her boyfriend. I wonder if these travel agencies warn women about this when they go to countries like that!!

Kathy had men running up to the guy she was with, offering thousands of dollars and something like 10,000 camels, something like that. Three men this happened with, they wanted to buy Kathy as a wife!!!

We laugh at this now, but suppose Kathy was alone, what would have happened? . That's a scary thought.!!!

I can relate to Matt's pain. I get arthirtis in the knees. I see "Stars" when that flares up. So far, everything I have taken for the pain, maybe cuts to edge of the pain, but it's still there!! I wish him well.

Amber left for Italy today....how exciting is that!! I wish her all the best.
Thank God she got her luggage. That is so upsetting. That happened to Kim. Her lugguage went ot Boston, we're in New York.

That was good about Matt being a trunck driver now. How does his legs feel though after long hauls.?
I know I get stiff with my legs, staying in one positon for a long time.

Well Jenna arrived there last Tuesday night. She is 23 so she knows to shut up and fly right. She is a tough cookie so I think she will be okay.

Dear DawnRae,
That's nice if you can move. We're stuck here as long as my husband works. He works for the electric company, he has 28 years with it, He has no plans of retiring, he could in a few years.

He also doesn't like going on vocations, so now, the past few years, me and the kids go, leave lover boy home to feed the animals!! HAhA!! Heck with him!! HAAH!! He gets 6 weeks of paid vocation!!

Not much going on. I know the temperature is in the teens. I'm hoping my girlfriend calls me over for coffee, I cna use a cup right now, but it's better with company.!! HAHA!
