Hi Debbie, We got back late Sunday night. It was so hard to leave her there. She is so anxious to get this next phase started. This was an emotional weekend. Proud mom here. Most of our pictures are 35 mm so we have to get those developed. Have a few on the digital so I will have to get those on here. They had 1097 graduate. Friday and Sunday just hung out at the hotel and area. Saturday took the train to Navy Pier and wish we would not have. Just felt like we did not spend time together. I know that we did but it took so long to get there and back and then there really was not anything at the pier to do. With her staying there in GL for A school she will have plenty of time to go to Chicago via train with her friends on the weekends. She called us about 5:30pm on Thursday after BS. She said that was the neatest thing she has ever experienced. I was proud of her when we were at the hotel on Friday. I told her we had brought some lounge pants that she could change into while she was there and she said no we are to stay in our uniforms. I said Amber we will not tell anyone and she still declined. So I was proud that she did not want to go against what her chief told them. She did tell us that someone in another div got a speeding ticket!!. So today he was to go to Captains Mast (I think that is what they call it). How much they stress no drinking, driving, smoking and they go out and do it. I will work on the pictures.

Thank you Debbie, She has BS tomorrow night. We will be in the car on our way there when she calls. I am so nervous. I know she will do fine but there has been 2 or three that has failed the first two bs. She is a fighter but I know that she has been tired. I know they don't want them to fail. The only reason that I have read when they fail is falling asleep. But who could sleep with all that going on! Thank you for checking in on me. How have you been?

Nothing would surprise me. I hope it is the 19th of course I will be off work. We will be leaving here around noon. My husband will be getting off work at 11am. Mapquest says 11 hours, I am hoping its more like 10. So we will be getting in real late. I don't have a cell phone but my husband and other daughter does. I gave instructions to Amber what phone to call depending on what time she is able to call. I have read on here that most calls come in the afternoon. I lived in Gulfport MS and use to go to Pensacola to the beach. That is a long time to be on hold. I think her last PFA was Monday. They have final inspections yet. Amber will be the last group. She is in one of the last three div for that PIR. There are 15 div. Big PIR. I am anxious to see her in her uniform.

Thanks for the comments on the pic--the puppy was my Sailor son's Christmas gift/going away gift for his best friend, his sister! She name her "Saylor"! She also has a pink stripped dress w/a rhinestone anchor on the back--it's a 'summer' outfit though :) !! My son PIR'd on 03/06/2009--what is ur son's rating? Michael is a MA, currently in A-School n San Antonio. He just got his orders for his 1st Duty Station---San Diego, CA, main base! A VERY long way from home (we live in KY)!

Amber has never mentioned about putting pictures on here. I have moved the pictures to the bottom of the page. they are not good pictures of her but it is all that I have on this computer at work and I forget about it when I get home. I know Amber is wanting to fly under the radar if you know what I mean. I love your pictures.

We are staying at Residence Inn. I have gotten to talk to a few mothers in my daughters div. And the girls know each other and are friends. We are trying to figure out BS right now. My daughters letter yesterday said they were getting a phone call on the 19th with a pizza party. So I am assuming (and you know how that can be) she will go to BS on the 18th. These last few days I can't concentrate. I am at work now! We share our letters too. I am sure the girls are laughing at us!. She did say she wanted to go and get a steak. She needed something besides all the healthy food.
