Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Learning to let go and that I had alot of support through my group on yahoo navymoms
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Debbie! Of course you are invited and yes you are correct about the date, time and place. It was Jane's idea to meet there. Did you receive the PM I sent to the group? If not, let me know. I'm hoping Angie, from Spokane, will be there as well. She requested an early time so she wouldn't have to drive on roads she didn't know at night. She said she'd call me today so she had better be coming!
You may want to change your screen name so that it does not include your last name, especially if it is the same as your sailor's since you have posted his first name, but maybe even if it is not, to help keep everyone safe. Blessings to you and yours.
Hello Debbie! I haven't been on this site but for only a few moments since July 31st. This month has been soooo busy. How exciting to have him closer! That's awesome. He'll be there in March and Morgan will deploy sometime in April/May, not for sure when. Looks like he won't be on the front lines, which is a small relief. However, things could change. How did you feel when your son extended his time for another year? Was there a reason why he wanted to do that? So good to hear from you.
Hi Debbie ~ I know within a month time frame of when he'll be deployed. I don't believe he's started his work up. I didn't get your email invitation until late last night. I'm so sorry; otherwise, I would've been there, with Morgan. I picked him up at 1:30 from the airport. He's still sound asleep. Poor guy was up at 4:30 every morning. Morgan's gf is driving down from Seattle Tuesday afternoon, then they'll drive back up together on the 2nd. How was the party?
Hey my friend! I'm so sorry you had such a short time with Jeremy. I thought he was going to be here in town not you going to NC! My parents celebrated their 49th anniv. on 6/11. Morgan will be 21 on July 30th. We have very special young men to be doing what they've done and are doing. I'm proud of both of them. Since I last wrote you, Morgan's been reassigned. He will be with a Marine unit. All we know, right now is he'll be with the 3-1. He's hoping to be assigned to the kelo group. I don't know Debbie. This has been a hard road at times, but I'm very slowly learning that God is leading him, though Morgan may not know it, and it's up to me to find the faith that whatever happens is in God's hands. Trust me...it's a lot easier to write than do. I feel like I take 3 or 4 huge steps back and only 1 or 2 tiny steps forward. How are you doing knowing that Jeremy's done with the Marines in March? I'm guessing he'll be assigned to a hospital somewhere state side.
Looks like my son's graduation is slated for July 24th. We found some airline tickets for 240, but non-refundable. Not sure about taking a chance in case he shouldn't graduate. What are the chances?
Hello Debbie ~ We had a good reunion. I missed him greatly, but his girlfriend was there too, and that's where the majority of his heart was. He was totally excited to be spending time with her. In fact, he's flying to Seattle tonight for the weekend and it's been two weeks since they last saw each other. We did have some mom/son time after everyone else left and that was interesting. Car shopping and then spending our last morning together in the Navy Hospital ER. Not quite what I imagined it to be, but it was still good.
Morgan told us he had to go through CTM before he could be assigned a group. However, as you may or may not have read, he won't be with a group of Marines. I continue to tell him things could change and quickly. We shall see.
So, your son's military days are over in March. What's he going to do when he's out?
Thanks Debbie ~ That means a lot! I was wondering a couple of days ago when he was due to come back. 8 months is a long time to be deployed. I hope all the things that they're telling Morgan and the others is just a psyc thing. And yes, San Diego, is a lot closer and I'm very thankful for that. I'm also glad to hear he'll be able to come home before deployment. We were able to go thru security with him when he left for San Diego. Thanks again for writing.
Yes i did here from Bryan! And i also got two hours of cam to see him. It was Wonderful. Made my day. Im so glad for you son . Were will he be after?
Thanks for thinking of me and my son. You also enjoy the sun.
