Thank you so much, Deborah, for the very kind words on my Comment Wall. I'm so sorry it took me so long to comment you back. For some reason, I never even realized that I had a comment wall on my page! How are you holding up?

Hi Deborah,
I hope all is well with you.. I leave for the hotel on the 8th and then swear in on the 9th and get on a flight to Great Lakes..

Deborah, I know this is so confusing! The ship out date is the day they go to MEPS. For you, this will be Nov. 10. I would call your local MEPS and ask when the first swearing in starts, or just try to be there around 8:30. The staff is so very helpful. The recruits will be called back to go over their contrats and the Gidians will give them a New Testament Bible. Then the Officer will call for family to be there for the swearing in. It ws so touching! I still get teary eyed! I will be there for my next son on Nov. 9. He will be picked up on the 8th to spend the night at a hotel.
Please, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Yes, it is ok to cry, just not to much n front of your DEPPER! I would start reading the posts on Boot Camp site. They also have so much info!

Thanks Deb,
I had read about Honor Courage and Commitment and just ordered it last night.
Gabrielle already has most of her DEP book memorized. Once she gets something in her mind...watch out ! So focused and determined!
I am feeling better just being able to talk with and read what others have experienced.
