Hi Denise : Thank for joining me at Navy 4 Mom even if I'm only and uncle to Ron at the Gorton Sub School. I 'm very proud of all the kids that have joined and are willing to serve their country. Ron is a third generation sailor now and keep our family in the Navy. I know that your not that far from here just on the other side of Fond Du Lac. Hope that you didn't get to snowed in. Ron is doing great at school he finished BESS and now waiting for next schooling. How is your Son doing at Groton? Maybe he and Ron can get together while there if they haven't already. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving Enjoy

Good to hear from you. We're going down today for swer-in. Last time to see Scott for awhile. We spoke on the phone last night for awhile. He seemed ok but was dreading today. Said they were going to wake him up at 4:00 for breakfast and then on to MEPs. He was on the phone with his girlfriend when I called. Not sure how long that will last now that he's gone. I'm afraid if they break up during boot it'll break him. She is a great girl and we love her and her family. She has 3 years of college left and a lot can happen in that time. We'll see....I'd love to get together some time. It would be great to chat since we're both going through the same emotions right now. Happy Thanksgiving! Jill

Hi Denise,
Jeremy hasn't been gone very long then. Have you gotten "the box" yet?

Hang in there. Thanksgiving and Christmas will be hard, I'm sure. My son won't be home for either, as he's now in Virginia and won't have enough leave to come home. I think he still could if he really wanted to, but I think he's enjoying his freedom out East. ;)

Take care!
Teresa

Hi Denise-
I see you added me as a friend yesterday. Where is your son? Mine left today for MEPS and then tomorrow for boot. We'll be going down for his swear-in. I've been dreading this day forever but know it is what he wants. It's so hard because fo the holidays. Take care....Jill H.

Denise;
Welcome to the Wisconsin Moms,what will your son be doing in the Navy?
My son is Damage Control,(firefighter), and also a visit, board, search, and seizure team member. He is on his 3rd deployment overseas. Please try to go to the graduation, it is an awsome experience. As much as you miss them they also miss you. They change so much just in boot camp, but after they are in for awhile you still notice some amazing changes. This is such a growing and maturing experience. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Hi Denise - Thanks for the invite. I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet. I'm in Oregon, WI. I'm not sure where Clintonville is... Oregon's just south of Madison. Where is your son now? Mine's in Virginia for A school.
Take care,
Teresa
