When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Being patient! The biggest thing I have learned is no news is good news. I have learned that someday I will FLY..... but for now I will WALK!!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I really needed to know that I was not the only person feeling this way. I just found this site a couple of days ago, ironically it was after I got the form letter and Dalton had asked me to post his address on his myspace page. I had been crying my eyes out because the first line he wrote was "What was I thinking, these are going to be the longest 9 weeks of my life."As soon as I posted the address a banner came up for navyformoms. I know it sounds crazy but it was like some divine intervention...I needed a place for my heart to heal and here it is. I can't imagine what you are going through with your son gone and knowing your husband will be leaving for Iraq. I think at this point they would be putting me in the crazy house if I were in your shoes. But, as you said...we can crawl together. I just checked the mailbox and I am so mad I could SCREAM...I put Dalton's 2nd batch of letters in last night to make sure I didn't miss the mailman and Guess what??? It's 3:00 on Saturday and my flag is still up with the letters still there. Now I know the PO closes at 12:00 so it will be Monday before they go out. They are going to get it come Mon. morning. He asked for lots of letters and pics. I promised I'd write everyday....another meltdown. Glad hubby's not here (he thinks I'm going crazy.lol) First thing he asked this morning is please tell me your not already on "that site" I lied said no and he laughed as he walked by the computer. Again thanks for your reply. I need all the strength i can get. Hope we can stay in touch.

Denise, Haven't seen you on in a while... Hope everything is going well. Some Ohio Navy Moms are getting together to do cookie boxes for our sailors...does yours need one? I would be more than happy to send some NavyMom love to Afghanistan! Lori : )

Jeremy is doing his schooling now in the GL. He loves it! I'm so glad. I just hope that he gets stationed somewhere close to home. Somewhere on the East coast at least.

Denise,
There is a guy named Ordy who left a message for you on the Boot Camp Forum. He was the one who made all the contacts for the Patriot Riders. He is a wonderful guy and a very good friend of mine. he usually stays very quiet in the shadows here till there is some need he can fill. I knew you would want to know that he was the one who made the calls and got the information for the Patriot Riders. Plus he has a place on his website where they Honor EOD.
Just wanted to let you know.
Jacquie
