Hello, I like to sew but I'm just a beginner. I would like to make some pillow cases for our military. I have quite a collection of novelty fabrics since I like to piece quilt tops. I read the instructions but they're not clear for me (as a beginner…

Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That I had to step back and let him be his own man.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Today we got notice that Heads at East hit 1500 pillow cases this year. We ship them everywhere, whether to comfort our military overseas or one in a rehab unit.

My son loves prototype! He, too, is a hands on guy. Loved every one of his tech ed classes, hated English. Yet, he also took a year of youth ministry and wrote some outstanding papers on theology. This was when he was also in a highly ranked technical college.
So, he's exhausted--the days are at least 12 hours long like they will be on a ship or sub. But, he finds it rewarding.
Saw you were looking for apartments. Our son lives in one in N. Charleston. It's convenient for GC and for his bride's college.

There are lots of apartment complexes and other sites for rent. My son is currently in an apartment across from the mall of Rivers. It seems like there are almost always nice apartments available there - 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms. The biggest problem is for most of the sailors is that they need a place to move or store their stuff by the day of graduation. My son and his roommate looked on Wednesday, signed a lease and moved in on Thursday and cleaned out the room right after graduation. I would be better to allow a little more time. There are other areas closer. He is moving out of there by the middle of next month. Rent and utilities where my son is for a 3 Br apt is about $150 more than the housing allowance for 1 person. It is easy to make money sharing a 2 or 3 bedroom apt. Some others in his class went together with others and rented a house near the beach a couldn't cover expenses with the housing allowance - but they aren't there for sea and sun.
