I just talked to Wal-Mart K-Mart and Target and they are turning down my donation requests because I am not a 501 3C. I'm disappointed but I understand. I think I will get some cash from the American Legion. I should hear by the first of next week.

Pat I am planning to send quite a few more over the 25 I committed to. I'm hoping to hear something on donations this week. Just can't commit to a number yet till I see what comes in.

Dianne, my son does know your son or at least they work together anyway. He wanted to make sure it was him, though and I don't think he has said anything to him yet. He must be okay. I'll keep in touch and let you know if i hear anythingl Let me know if you hear from Nick. Wish his emails were longer and were more informed but not, so will have to wait for his next one.

Dianne, My son just graduated Prototype in Goose Creek in June and this is his first deployment. He mentioned that he's been hanging around with and toured this port with the other new guys in the Reactor Department, and that they are all MMs (except for my son who is an EM). I wonder if Nick is one of them. If you'd like me to contact my son to see if he can get Nick to e-mail or call you, please send me an e-mail at cdavis1116@aol.com with Nick's last name.

Dianne, I hope you will hear from Nick soon. I see Nick is an MM. So is my son. Wonder if they are in the same dept, so maybe my son could track him down. Justin is dept RM in his address. Let me know if he can help.

Dianne,
Do you know anyone who works with your son who you could e-mail? I asked my husband and he said it could be something as simple as having too many e-mail in his inbox. If it continues and you start to get concerned you could always call the Ombudsman. The ombudsman has direct contact with the CO,XO and CMC and could ask one of them to check on him. I would wait to make sure it is not a computer problem because he might get a stern talking to by who ever delivers the message that he needs to e-mail you and make sure that you can e-mail him. If you know someone from the Niimitz group who knows your son I would try to get a message to him that way first. Good luck and I hope you are able to get in contact with your son soon.

Actually, I'm not sure either....I was just thinking that when I got the whole list together I would send it to MaggieG and let her send it out. She seems to know everyone. In the mean time . my e-mail is jlwb98229@yahoo.com send it to me there and I'll add it to the list. Nick isn't having a birthday while he's deployed, is he? Thanks Jane
