Profile Information

About me:
My son is 22 years old and has 2 years of college. He hasn't finished because he does not know what he wants to do. (He knows a lot about what he does not want to do.) He recently told us he is thinking of joining the navy. He is looking for adventure and wants to work on a ship. I guess he is also trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life.

hi Dianne-welcome to the site--i think you are feeling the same as all Moms when their children say they want to join the service--it has been a life changing experience for us since my son has been in for just a year! he is in Groton Ct...just finished sub surface A school yesterday -he had wanted to be a diver as well but right now is involved with Subs...I think that there are alot of challenges to overcome, as with anything in life but for my son it was definitely the right course of direction..your son is stilll young and it could be a very positive and maturing decision for him--unfortunately, we cannot decide for them when they reach a certain age in life and we can only be supportive of their decisions as long as they are going in a positive direction--I live in EAtontown which is so close to you in Middletown--if you ever want to meet to grab a cup of coffee of anything please let me know...Maxine

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
