My son finally got his date and is going in Feb. He is being sworn in at the Bulls Game. Has anyone heard of this happening? Also, will there be video feed of this on the news or You Tube?

My son was first told there was a hold, then they told him they needed the waiver. What is the Hold about? Do you know? Thanks for your response.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a medical waiver to be approved? My son is waiting for one before he can go have his physical. He already passed his ASVAB test but is waiting for his physical…

The rating acronym is MU and he needs to find the nearest Navy Band and call them for an audition. If they want him bad enough...they will get him!

Slight correction to the above post...our friend in CA oversees 232 recruiters and they only put 38 Recruits into the Navy last month, not over two. Wow, seems like that's a big change from a year ago!

For future reference, not only did they let my son out of his lease, but the whole contract was void and the roommate can now either move to a 1 bedroom or even move out of the complex with no buy out fee. It is the law you mentioned. thanks again for being so helpful. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.

He has an appartment with a room mate and they both signed the lease, the apartment complex is saying the room mate has to pick up my son's half of the rent. That doesn't seem fair. Have you had experience with this before? Thanks

He just needs to bring his Navy contract to them and show them his ship date and he shouldn't have any problems. I believe it is the Soldiers and Sailors relief act that allows him to get out of it legally. Just google it and you will probably find all kinds of stuff about it!
