My husband and I have 3 children. Oldest son is a firefighter/EMT for Washington, DC. My son, Nick joined the Navy in March of 2007 and is now a Corpsman stationed in GTMO and my daughter, Rachel left for boot camp on December 14, 2009 to become a CRT.

Hi Donna,

My son is going to GITMO on March 6th, he is also a corpsman. Does your son like it there? Does he work at the hospital? I'm hoping my son enrolls in college while there. How about your son? How do you communicate? Do you hear from him often? Any info you can give would be great.

Hi Donna, sorry to hear about your 2 hr back up on your trip home. Thanks for getting back with me & looking forward to your friendship ! Dustin is going to A school in Meridian, MS for 6 weeks. He will be closer to home & can come home on the weekends ! I take that as blessing for right now, who knows where he will go next. Im sure Nick will enjoy the A school in Great Lakes. Donna, wouldn't it be the best if we got a call on Mother's Day! But I remind myself that there are a lot of recruits boot camp and it may be physically impossible for all of them to call on Mother's Day. On top of that, Jared's birthday is 5/12! Another reason to celebrate big PIR weekend.
