I am a transplant New Yorker living in Florida. I am married to my husband, Don for 21 years. I work as a school nurse and I teach nursing at a local college. My son is my oldest (just turned 20) and my daughter is 17 and will start college in the fall.
I am here to support or represent my:

I have not heard anything yet regarding Fleet Week in Tampa. I am not the liasion, but would like to know who is and when/where? I just noticed it on N4M's a few weeks back and posted a question. If I hear anything I will post, you please do the same.
Shane just finished his Oral Boards for Nuke and was picked up as Staff, so he will be staying in NY for at least the next 2-3 yrs. He's excited about it. It's what he wanted. He will not be home for any of the holidays, tho! So I'm a little bummed about that, but I knew that time was coming.

We are heading over to your neck of the woods tonight...Wiregrass to attend the opening of the new restaurant PrimeBar. A friends son is working there. Looking forward to it!

Hey Donna,
My name is Elizabeth, my son Zach left for boot camp on October 1st. He is scheduled to graduate on November 25th. Great timing, the day before Thanksgiving. My older son and I are leaving for Great Lakes on the 24th returning on the 26th.

Are you still a member? Are there any upcoming events? I would really be interested in meeting some other area moms. I was very active with ARMY MOMS when my oldest was in the ARMY, especially when he was deployed to Iraq. We did all kinds of fundraisers for the holidays with our largest being the annual stocking drive.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The VFW in Spring Hill is having a Benefit Dinner & Dance on Oct. 17 @5:30..all proceeds will be used to buy supplies for our troops..the cost is $16.50 per person...would you be interested

Oh Ft Myers a.k.a. Ft. Misery we call it at work.LOL Yes, must get together. Tampa Bay is trying to get feedback, some people still out of town (vacation). I think in the next few weeks most everyone will be ready to get together. Middle of Sept. ?? 13th or 20th. Seems Sunday has always been the overall best day for majority?

This is a check-up ( on you ) How are you doing Girl? Get your daughter all set up? Christopher will be coming home 1st week in Oct. Leave starts midnight Oct.1. Can't wait but have to. This will be a very difficult one. He will be deployed to Iraq Nov. so the whole family will all be wanting his attention. ?? Do hope it is not the nitemare I think it will be. Always prepare for the worst so it's not actually that bad. What you doing this weekend? I plan to go see my folks in Clw. on Sun. Have you been to Sheppards? For breakfast, lunch or dinner ?

I am working at St. Joseph's that Saturday until 12 Noon. By the time I get there, it would be almost 2pm. Wish I could help! I will be thinking about you all Robin!
