Hi Jenn's Mom - wow - I've been looking for a mom like you. I just signed up for Navy For Moms about 2 weeks ago. It has been a help so far. I have signed up for a few groups, but, just now signed up for the daughters group. I guess all we can do is…

Spent yesterday having quality time at the barn as there were fences that needed new posts (don't understand why. The fence is only about 35yrs. old) and wire needed repairing. Of course I had 8 helpers all inspecting the tools when we put them down…

This is CRAZY!!

Just went on a great trail ride yesterday in the woods and the temp was 80. It was so beautiful that we decided to ride some of our other mounts today just around the pasture but the weather is AWEFUL. It's cold, rainy, and the temp is dropping quickly to 34. My poor babies!! All of our horses are rescues and we have a total of 8 right now. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days.

I'm so very proud!!!

Jen has made Jr.Sailor of the Year and won another board when she was up against other Petty Officer's though I'm not sure what it's called. She will be going to Italy and I can't wait to go for a visit though I hate having her so far away. I'm proud of her accomplishments though. I love her so much.

they are great! Just sold Bright N Mighty Flag and am working on selling 3-4 more. Mostly the younger ones. I think that would be wonderful to have a clinic - I have always dreamed of having a therapeutic riding clinic.

Jenn has a unique job skill. When I go on Navy Newstand, I'm impressed by the solemnity of the burials at sea. I never gave it much thought that the Navy would have staff to actually do the work behind the scenes for that event. When I visited San Diego, they were having some kind of service on the flight deck of the USS Midway museum for a vet. I think your daughter has one job that has a lot of honor associated with it. I'm sure that there will be times when her heart breaks because of the story behind the passing of a sailor. I'm sure there will be times that she won't understand the stupidity of the victim's actions - like high speed racing a motorcycle that almost claimed the life of one of Garrett's classmates!! Does she get to work with a team of people on her duty assignments or is she kind of solo? Working with a group would provide a network to give and get support in stressful times!

I saw your request to be "friends". That should be all set up now! I take it you have a trailer for getting out our way! We'd love to have you up. We have used GPS to map out quick rides and up to 4 hour rides. Our boys are out of shape so it would haveto be something simple to start with. Sorry your daughter was stressed out. I hope that with some rest and time talking to MOM will get her back on track. We'll stay in touch!

Hey, Eileen: I saw your post on the horse lover's page. I could guess from the weather that you are in FL. I teach in Zellwood and used to live in Apopka. I now live in Altoona so we can trail ride in the Ocala National Forest! More on that later... You'll want to know that there is a Central FL mom group. If you go to my page, you'll be able to navigate to the site w/o having to scroll through all the groups. They are getting together March 14 in Orlando. Maybe you'd want to go... Ingrid on that group is also in Apopka. Beth

That is outstanding. I know you are very proud. and Italy - thats fantastic. I am glad to know you help abused and neglected horses. I rescued my 3 cats from East Texas Paws - they were brothers and sisters and I just couldn't break them up. I have their pictures on the animal lovers group.
