No we did not stay in Coronado. We stayed in San Diego at the lodge on the corner of Harbor Dr & 28th street. The lodge is on base so we had to get either our son or daughter-in-law to come with us when we checked in, but after that all we had to ...

I just got back from seeing my son in San Diego. He got back from his deployment in Bahrain on the 15th of July. They gave him almost 2 weeks liberty starting July 29th. We stayed at the Navy lodge there and it was great.

I forgot to mention that Noah was also in Ingleside, and will be going to San Diego . So if he doesnt already know your son, and I'll bet that he does, they should meet soon. Noah is a minesman, what does Steven do in the Navy ??

Noah left this time in August, and should be there till May/June. This is his second deployment to Bahrain. I dont hear from him much right now. His last e-mail he said that they were extreamly busy and would stay that way until the end of this tour.

Hi Eileen,
I posted a general note on the Bahrain site, but wanted to let you know that Noah is ON a ship in Bahrain, in answer to your question. Tabbie's son Zak is on the same ship that Noah is on. USS Scout.

Oh Eileen! I'm so jealous! Steven is in nuke training in Goose Creek, SC. He's the same distance away from us there as he was in boot camp - + or - a few miles. How cool is it to get to see Christopher so often. I don't know about Christopher, but Steven joined the Navy "to see the world" so I'm happy he's getting to see a different part of the country AND, at least for a while, he's state-side, which makes me VERY HAPPY! The apron strings have been a little hard to cut for me. lol Hope you have a great weekend!
Hugs from Houston,
Cindy

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!!

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He is now stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Hi Eileen! Glad you joined us! See your in Sugarland - I'm just up the road in Houston. Looks like from your profile and such that Christopher has already made it through boot camp. If not... either way this is a great place to meet Moms of "like mind". We've either are going through it or "been there, done that" and survived, same as you. Any time you need support, feel free...
