Hi all, My son is in Jolo Philippines. He is a seabee. Are there any other parents with sailors there? I was wondering if there is a contact group of others. Thank You

Dear Eileen
I know they ususaly do call when they arrive at the Boot Camp. But lately, I have been hearing some moms say the same as you,, no second phone call. I think the Navy changing things around every now and then!! HAHA!! I wouldn't worry.
How are you holding up so far?
Please stay in contact with us here n Navy for moms. we'll all keep you company!! HAAH!!
The first three weeks will seem long, until you recieve your first long letter from Dara.

Within the first two weeks , you'll recieve the famous dreaded box, with Dara's civilain clothes in it. There's no letter in it, the rest of us already looked for ours!! HAha!!
Also you'll receinve a form letter and on the back a couple of sentences form Dara. The actual lon letter is around the third week.

With Salem ,it's still up in the air. The problem is the price of renting a car. I never expected it to be that expensive. We still have the hotel room reserved fro Oct 27. I told my daughter Darlene, we can rent a small car, and I'll take the bus. I priced the round trip bus fare, it's only $84.
Let me get going. Please stay in touch.
Take care and God bless.

Dear Eileen,
I hope not, that the girls don't make the news!! HAAH!! They also corrected me on the name of the stadium!! HAHA!!

The girls were going over money last night. What's killing me in renting a car. Our two old cars won't make the trip.

I'm going to mention to my daughter about us going a month later. Granted it's best in October with the Haunted Happenings. But I was going over the brochure and checking things out. There is still a lot we can do, and museums that are opened right up to the last day in Novemeber.

My daughter and I have been on many ghost tours, we don't need a guide!! HAHA!!! We know where the best pictures have been taken.
It's a beatiful town, I love the architure, I have taken pictures of houses just because they were beauitfull!!
So you have been to Salem...Uh! Isn't it great!! Ever have an experience or see anything? We have!! And we have some pictures that did develope with faces in it, and they're not smiling!!.
Let me get going. Please stay in touch.
Take care and God bless.

Eileen,
How are you doing, our boys will be leaving in just a few short days. This is a stressful time. Just wanted to check in with you. Damien will be going to Portland on the 7th and swears in on the 8th to leave for BC. I plan on going to see him swear in. Hope you are doing ok.
