He should be finishing up battlestation in a few minutes. I should get a call this afternoon, he's a SAILOR. Graduation is Friday....can't wait. I'm not any good at work!!!!!

Hi Erica.... I got a call today!!!! I was at work and he called my cell. It was great hearing his voice, he sounded great. His only problem is that he got an ear infection. That concerns me, he had 6 sets of tubes when he was young. I hope that doesn't become a problem.....Debbie

Erica, I think I know about where you are talking about that you live. My son played football and baseball against J High and Lumen at the school. I also am very familiar with downtown Jackson. I would love to get together with you except I am moving from Edwardsburg, MI to Homosassa Springs, FL in October. I will be back in the Jackson area for a family get together on Sept 12 and Oct 3. Other than that though, I don't get back there often because it is 2 hour drive one way. Maybe, before I leave in October we could see if you are available to get together. My best to you and your son!!! We will keep in touch on the website though, even once I move I still will be on the Michigan Moms group. This is the beginning of a GREAT time in you son's & your life! Hang in there!

Hey Erica.. I too live in jackson. Graduated from napoleon. My son is at GL right now, and will graduate Set 3. This is a wonderful site to be on. You will meet such wonderful ladies here. My son just graduated from Northwest high school. Where at in jackson do you live. It would be wonderful to hook up for lunch sometime. Stay strong. I know how hard it is. The emotions you go through are hard. I find myself getting all teary eyed again, as time gets closer to see him. Best wishes!

Welcome to the group, Erica A!! I am originally from Jackson. My son, Allen calls Jackson his 'home' because his father & stepmother still live there. Plus, most of my family lives there also. Where in Jackson are you? My son graduated 2007 from Northwest High School. He has been in for 2 yrs and is stationed in Virginia Beach right now. He is being relocated in Nov to San Antonio for K-9 Handler Training School. So happy to hear that your son has generations of Navy behind him. We are all so proud of our Sailors!! We are here if & when you are in need.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
