Hey! So glad to hear from you! I am so happy for you that you get to go and spend the weekend with him! Is he completely done with Aschool now? Does he have his orders for his first duty station? Or does he have more schooling? My sailor is currently on LLD for an injury to his shoulder & a problem with his feet, so right now he is on hold with finishing up his classes. Enjoy your time with Eric & take lots of pictures, hopefully the weather will be nice. Fill me in when you get back. I wish you fair winds & following seas!

Hi Eric's Girl! Saw your post on the group for BMs. My son is in A School for BM now and finishes in about 2 weeks. His PIR was 10/31/08 and he didn't start A school until Jan. 9th. He had to go thru several In Doc classes before he could start A school so I'm guessing that is one of the reasons for the delay. Please let me know if I can help with any questions.

Well just hang in there, things can change at a moment's notice. My sailor has been handed orders, then started school, then told dates would change, then told dates won't change as far as finish date for Aschool. I am just learning to roll with the changes. When he gets his orders for his next duty station, then I will know that he is getting ready to finish Aschool and move on. The communication at Aschool is so much better, we hear from our sailor just about everyday.

Wow! His Aschool is only 4 weeks? Well hope everything moves along for him quickly! Then he can come home for a visit! Hang in there, you will be amazed at how much more communication you will have!

Congratulations Sailor Mom. I know you are proud and I know there were tears of Joy. I can't until my son's PIR. He just left last week. I am waiting on his address now to be sent to me. I have so many questions to ask you. Can you bring more than 4 people, how was the weather up there?
