About me:
I am a respiratory therapist and have always been very active in my kids lives. I have 5; three girls and 2 boys. The oldest is married 22. The second is 20 and getting married Nov 9th and Bobby (Navy) is 18. The 4th one is 15 and the baby is 9. We have been married 27 years. I like to play softball and stay active in our church.

Bobby called

Bobby called right after I left that blog and he sounded pretty good after being so sick. He told me what he was taking and I could tell it sounded like they were taking pretty good care of him. He has never been very sickly and it was probably a big shock to his system to get all those shots, be sleep deprived, change of climate, teeth pulled.... Ya I would be sick too. Hope Bob is feeling better

I still haven't got to talk to Bob and I hope that he is feeling better. Usually if he can just get some rest he bounces back fairly quickly. Hope that is the case now. I know I will feel better if I can talk to him. I know, we moms' can worry so!!! I have been enjoying re-reading his letters. Oh well,,, guess I will go back to waiting by the phone. LOL

My son, Bobby, signed up for Aviation Mechanics and he was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. My husband and I have 5 kids and have been married 27 years as of the 30th of August. We are very proud of our son. He loves sports especially baseball. He is a social bug and makes friends wherever he goes. It will be interesting to see how his strengths will help him in the Navy.

OK lady. You must be home by now??? How much did you love graduation, lol !! I posted some pics of Brook after PIR. Still haven't had time to get more on there. It's nice that you could stay to see him get on the plane. Happy tears only Gena. I made a promise to Brook on the day that we left her at GL. No goodbyes !!!

Gina. Congratulations to your Sailor Bobby and your family. I hope that you had a wonderful time with him. Wasn't it GRAND!!! I am thinking about you all now as you are in GL with your son. I wanted this message to be there when you get home. Where does Bobby go now? I'm sure that he'll do just fine. Brook is doing good in Pensacola. Lots to learn and many new experiences. If you were like me you had a few tears run down your face during their ceremony, and you many have a few more after you say see ya later after your weekend was over. I refuse to say good-bye to Brook. It's just another chapter in their life, one that is going to have many rewards and bring many happy tears and smiles for you. We are now officially in the
Navy family!!

Gena. You just wouldn't believe how wonderful it is to see your son or daughter stand there in front of you a more mature and confident SAILOR!!! graduating with their division. I was in tears. Yes, you will be there soon and feel very similar to the way I felt. I was able to stay through Saturday night, and it was great spending time with her. She looks wonderful and was able to send her pictures home with me. Of course I'm the kind of mother who takes them with me, showing them to everyone!!! God, am I awful. BUT so proud. Gena, thank you for all the support through BC. I hope that we can still correspond as our SAILORS head off to A school. Brook is supposed to leave Wednesday for Pensacola. I hope that she is not on hold for too long as sometimes happens. BUT whatever happens she is on her way. Please give our congratulations to Bob when you see him and God bless him and your family. Hope to talk again soon.

Gena. Hi, haven't talked for a while, but I thought that I'd let you know that Brook's Division finished Battlestations today. They swapped their ball caps for the NAVY caps and are now NAVY.

I got the long awaited phone call and just about cried. She sounded great, confident and just a little relieved. Can't wait to see her on Friday. We're leaving Thursday am for Great Lakes. Glad to hear that Bob is doing fine. Keep in touch and let me know how he's doing.

LOL - I think you're right about the letter writing and Gary..... Becky told Nathen the same thing to tell Gary and so did Janet tell her Bob. Poor kid....

Hi Gena, How is Bobby doing? I sure hope he's all better now. Pretty soon you'll be in my shoes, being very anxious about seeing him graduate !!! I'm keeping them all in my prayers. Brook is doing great so far.

From whatI understand Flanagans is a bar/restaurant. Not truly a bar but has the qualities of one. I think 9yr old and Grandma would be okay since we are having a banquet room for our get together which should be separate from the bar area. I've never been there but the rooms look nice. It would be great to meet everyone. Even if it's for a quick hello, hug, congrats, exchange of info and bye.
