- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- Saying goodbye hurts. However, he is excited and looking forward to an adventure. I had to accept his wishes and be happy for him too.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

We'll be saying our goodbyes this weekend and I don't think any of us are going to hold up very well. We've been lucky that he's been at school nearby so we've been able to spend every weekend together. I want to learn as much as I can about the what's and where's of the adventure that lays ahead for him. - Ginger, my son is at Atsugi, but most of his "crew" there are attached to the USS GW!! Small world, huh? He is, in fact, postponing his leave so he can be there for the month of September while the GW is back in port. That's friendship! ;-) I'll pass your info along to him, and thanks!!
