Martha,
Sorry that you have had some hard times. I too know about the roller coaster effect (that's what I call them.) That's where everything hits you all at once and you think your head is swimming in many directions. I will pray for you and your boys. I've been running daily to the hospital for my dad, but the doctor says we are doing well. Just wish I could stabilize the cells.. That is the hardest part of leukemia. A common cold can cause mishap in a patient with leukemia. Seems like we are back to getting two pints of blood every two weeks. don't understand what is happening, but going to try to figure it out. Not easy when you don't have a medical background but learning fast. How are you doing and the boys? Keep me posted.

Hi,
Congrats on having two in the navy now. At first I was concerned about my son joining but in the two years he's been in, he's really making a life of it. Some of the training is worse on us moms than it is on them. Marke just finished SERE and I didn't sleep for two weeks straight. But I'm so proud of all the boys who are willing to protect our freedom. As for my father, yes it has been a long three years so far. Raising two homes rough but do-able. Marke is my oldest then 15 year old son, 7 year old son, and 5 year old princess girl. I'm running all the time. As I tell my dad, we have good days with his condition and some bumps in the road. Pretty much know the signs of when we could be heading for a week long trip to hospital, so I visit with him daily. Add to the mix, my mom has three stints in her heart so I don't really want her straining. Hope your son gets released from medical and you are able to go to gl. We had so much fun there and the boys where so funny on being a part of our family. Keep in touch

I think it would be easier to do this through email, LOL....my email address is:
mokeymagu@yahoo.com
Joe is an IT (infomation Tech) and is at the sub base in Connecticut where he will be stationed for 2 years. It is nice with him there because he drives home about every other weekend.
Jim is an intel specialist and is just finishing up his 4 years in Washington State and will be going to Washington DC in November. He is currently in Africa!! The funny thing is that two of my boys are in the Navy...and neither has ever been on a ship or a sub, LOL. Both are doing very well. Jim has more awards and advancements than I can count. Joe doesn't like it as much but it seems to be getting better for him now.
Thank you for the offer to help with HOPE!! We have a few fosters out your way and I will pass on the info to them :)
Good luck with all the doctor stuff. I would be a nervous wreck as well. Don't let the Navy sit on this... Just wondering too what part of the brain they saw the shadow?

Wow it is a small world. Dakota was in the SAR program as well, he got dqued after BC, due to a hip condition that he had when he was younger. My husband delivers for Hill's Pet Nutrition. Where is your place located? I know exactly what you are talking about with the medical holds..I called every person that would talk to me, from the Command Master Chief at RTC, to Hillary Clintons office...Good Luck..

Hello,
You are the first person I have heard from near me. My son is in Pensacola as well, he will finally class up next Tuesday. It has been a long hold time for him. He was on medical hold as well for 89 days. I am sure if you read my blogs you know that. Thanks you for the Birthday wishes. What school did your boys graduate from and what year? My son went to Bloomfield school up to 3rd grade, I also graduated from there.

I hope all works out for Mike...that has to be scary for him :( We just went through a similar situation with my 19 year old cousin.
The name of my rescue is HOPE (Helping Orphaned Pets Everyday)
You can visit the website at www.hopeofny.com
Do you have a website? If so, send it to me. We always have people asking us about groomers and doggie daycare and boarding.

Hey,
You can Talk to another recuriter in the same office or go over his head to get what you need that is what they are there for I don't take No for an answer its not in my book
As for the spot that could be nothing, so try not to worry to much. I know that is easy for me to say, but Wesley had a problem and he passed out one day and they called me said he was fine and he was going to the er anyway and they did the same thing and thank god it was nothing but lack of sleep and one good thing I did find out is that my son does have a brain and it is a very nice size (that is what the doctor had said) when I talked to him.
I will keep him in my prayes I hope all is well please keep me informed

Hi and nice to meet you :) So, what are your boys doing? My oldest, Jim, is an IS and is currently in Africa. He has been statiioned in Washington State for 4 years and will be relocating to Washington DC in November. My other son Joe is stationed in Connecticut at the sub base for two years. Joe drives up here several weekends a month but obviously Jim can't do that. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask :) OH and I see your screen name is Gone2dogs, lol....I happen to run a dog rescue so that caught my eye!!
