i just talked to my husband who works at hs-6, the helicopter squadron...he said that as far as he knows, no mail was dropped in the ocean. he said all he heard was that some mail was delayed due to a truck that broke down or something of that natur…

I took this photo the day that my husband left for his first deployment. There was a man with an American Flag. I made the picture black and white so that the beautiful colors of this great nation's flag would stand out. :) Katie M.

I took this picture the day that the Nimitz went underway. There was a father with his family holding an American Flag...I made the picture black and white so the the gorgeous colors of the flag would stand out. :)

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Was proud and encouraged it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- Patience. Don't count on ANYTHING ANYONE says is going to happen until it's ACTUALLY happening. Always have a back up plan. The Navy has some awesome benefits...Deployments are rough though!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- I told my son that I had met you on N4M, and asked if he knew Bryan. I know there are 6000 sailors on board but how many RS? Our son (Matt)was just married 1 week before he was deployed. His deployment came as a surprise to him and his new wife - they thought he'd be in San Diego a while before leaving on his first tour. I should probably tell her to join N4M. She'd get a lot of support here. Anyway, Matt has been in medical more lately and only flying with the crew here and there. He told me yesterday in an email that after he's back from this tour, he'll go back to Pensacola and finish training as a RS. Are those pictures on here of Bryan and the rescue he did?

Carol said… - Just saw Josh's face book and pictures of Bryan with Josh in Japan. It looks like they had fun. I see that Josh and Bryan became friends so I think they might be on Bryan's face book. Today is Josh's e5 test. He said he will try to call when he is done. Hopefully the connection is better then this morning it was hard to hear him.

- Bryan is like Josh. Josh only slept a few hours in the pass 3 days. He did not want to miss any fun. We (the parents) have not heard from him since the first day he got there, but he has been talking with my daughter and other friends. They had a blast climbing mt fuji. He ran out of time so he said he would post pictures next port. Hope your husband had as much fun. Carol

- they are port buddies. Josh did not know what they were doing together. We were able to video chat the first day they came and latter that night he called. Since it was late I only talked to him. Knowing Josh we won't hear from him until they are ready to leave port. He is busy having fun.

- hi sorry it took me so long to get back. got busy with Isabelle/ She just started to teeth. She is a early bloomer. Well i like sd so far im getting use to the driver's here we came from Washington and they drive different. but im getting use to it. my daughter is going to be 4 months on the 20th. time is going to fast with her. your boy is so cute. babies are so cute when they are sleeping.well it was nice to meet you. if you ever want to talk let me know k i know it's going to be hard with your boy and your hubby being gone i still haven;t gone through a deployment but i lived in WA while my hubby was her in CA i had to stay there until i had my baby and i was stuvk yp there until i could travel with her and i had to take care of her alone it was hard so let me know how things go k ttyl :) maybe we can hang sometime later
