The freeways (highways) are all clear as always. The only roads that are treacherous are the side streets. You should be ok. Happy travels!

Sorry this has taken me so long to respond to. I just don't pay enough attention. Ian is coming home but his flight doesn't leave until Christmas, late afternoon. He will be staying until the 31st. He didn't want to go into to much of a hole with leave. Hope to see you at the meet and greet if you are attending. We will need to form a Washington moms group after this.

I know the grad packs were mailed out Friday. So wait for that to arrive. It will have alot of information in it about the PIR and such. If anyone is taking leave they will be expected to be gone 45 minutes after its done. I do know that much. I am still trying to find out if the Navy or myself has to do the travel arrangements. I think the navy does and it comes out of their pay. That will be the main question when I get my other call in two weeks. If he stays past his alloted 5days leave, he will go into a negative balance, as long as he has permission its ok, but it will take time to get back to zero. They only get 2 and a half days a month. So if there were any other emergency he would not be allowed to leave. Something to consider.

hi again heidi,
My husband and I are heading out the 22nd and we will be coming back the evening of the 24th. Ian is of course coming home for Christmas. He only wants to use his available leave time, which is 5 days. So he will head back the 28-29 for his A school in GL. We will be going to the meet and greet at flanagans the 23rd. Did you sign up yet? We have a room at the Residence Inn in Waukegan too. They offer the shuttle to and from PIR. Not sure how the whole Grad and Go will happen. My son says they have to be out within 45 minutes of the PIR ending. Should alot of fast walking that day. Hope to hear back from you.

Hi Heidi my name is Bobbie and my son is Michael. We are from Oklahoma and he is in Div 047. I saw your discussion in group 12-24. When Michael called yesterday he to spoke about people in his Div constantly talking and getting them in trouble. He is very quiet and wouldn't even consider breaking the rules. Made me feel bad for him. I told him even in adulthood there are people that break the rules and make it bad for all of us. Told him just to be patient and try to be tolerant and maybe they would get the hang of it. He sounded soooooo good. He said it wasn't too bad as long as you did as you were told. He is going to Arizona but doesn't have to be there until the first of January. Looking forward to hearing from you. Isn't this website a god send

Hi there Heidi. Its so cool to see another local mom with a son in BC. I am from Puyallup and my youngest Ian is my recruit. My husband and I are flying out on Monday afternoon. It was cheaper to go then and come back Christmas eve. We picked southwest. It only goes into Midway and we will be doing a car rental. Hope to hear from you.
