- About me:
- Im 19 obviously I'm not a navy mom but they dont really have a place for wives or girlfriends. My Fiance is curently stationed in Japan. We have a great relationship. but still the distance gets to me. days when i cant talk to him i drive my self crazy with worry. everybody says they know how i feel but unless you have been in the same situation then you really dont. I thought it would be good to be able to get advise from other navy families and also give a lil where i can!

- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- My fiance and i started seeing each other shortly after he got out of bootcamp. So, the navy has been a big part of our relationship. I think the most important thing i have learned is to alway ALWAYS be suportive. Its tuff on them being gone too.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- aww thats good you to see each other over the web cam..does he like it in japan? thats a good idea for the wedding in a way shawn and i were thinking of keeping it small then in the future do something like renew vows or something with more family..so i guess will take it with time..are you excited to go to japan with him?

Andrea said… - Hey Hollie! I could not even imagine how u feel! My hubby is only in Great Lakes and I miss im like crazy, urs is half way across the world! But it does get easier. Just speaking from experience, if your planning on getting married just do it now! Whats the diff between now and later...nothing, but u'll have the perks of being able to move with him. We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
