Hello to all of the Sherman Mom's. I am looking for any information you may have about free or highly discounted flights for our Sailors to come home for the Christmas Holiday. As many folks in Michigan, I have lost my job and money is VERY tight....
on Tuesday
Leslie...there are no words. Just emptiness.

You all are terrific! Thanx for including us in your joys...

When you say "Navy news service e-mail" do you mean the e-mail I get from military.com/navy ? I was wondering, because I thought we were supposed to get a hold of an ombudsman to get ourselves signed up for the ships newsletters, and havn't been able to reach the one for my sons ship. I'm just checking to make sure you don't mean Navy Week news or some other. thanks! ....long time no see...

Yes...My son is prior enlisted. He went through the very stressful Nuclear school. The pictures I posted are from his graduation from there in Goose Creek, S.C. He will proceed to Flight School in Pensacola after OCS.

I want to just thank all of you for all of the support and information that you have passed onto us. We love seafood, so thanks for the info on good places to eat.

Hi, Thanks for the info. I think we have decided to cancel our trip to Boston, Baltimore, and Gettysburg. We had another round of layoffs at work and I am now down to 3 days a week. So we think that we should save our money. we will now go visit our son in Va and stay at my brother in laws house. Our sailor will then come home for a few days then fly back to VA. Maybe things will be better next year.

We used to be stationed in Denver at Lowery AFB. Our son was born at Fitzsimons Army hospital. We loved Colorado.

JB,
I'm officially in Virginia. Hot, Hot, Hot!!! Wow. I thought Missouri had humidity! How is everything? When are you back in the general area? Love to have dinner with you or take in a show and dinner. How is Charlie? Sorry I haven't been on more. This unpacking has really been something else. Of course, you know all about that, driving back and forth across the nation. You are more than welcome to stay at my place when you come into the area. Holla' Back.

Thanks, Sorry it took me so long to reply...My son Cody just lost his dad suddenly on the 19th. We had to get the red cross to bring Cody home and it was a terrible time for both children. I have a letter that my daughter wrote afterward if you would like to read it ...i have posted it on my page...

Hey JB-
Yep Big Red is right. She just declared Biomedical Engineering as a major about a month. She was just plain Undeclared Engineering for most of the year. Kara competed this spring at Cornell for the MEC Drill Competition :) We actually don't live too far from there. We are in Rochester. Her first year is just about up so we are pretty excited- she's really loved it. The only downside has been that she can't fit in everything she probably like to do. She was a varsity rower in high school and that definitely had to go!! Looks like you have 2 in the Navy. I have to spend more time checking out your page. It looks awesome!
