Profile Information

About me:
My name is Jackie, I've been married 29 years to a man I met while in the Navy. We have three children, Katie- 29, Karen-26 (autistic), and John-21. Katie is married now and has 2 children, making me a grandmother to Layla- 5, and Lucas- 3. Karen lives in a group home for mentally challenged adults. John joined the Navy and is currently serving on a destroyer as an ET. We have been living in North East Florida for 17 years. It was my husband's last duty station, and we decided to stay here after he retired with 20 years in the Navy. I am originally from Minnesota. I have worked for a custom furniture gallery, as an upholstery seamstress for the last 17 years. My hobbies include sewing, scrapbooking.. and ballroom dancing
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To be patient. Not one of my strong points. There is a lot of waiting involved for the sailors family.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

This is how I feel about all of the friends that I have made on N4Moms,I LOVE THIS!!!
I LOVE YOU FRIENDS!

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,
God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.

I got this Email from a friend of mine today and it was way TOO FUNNY not to share with you all! I hope you enjoy it!

THIS IS SO FUNNY AND OH SO TRUE!

When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the stall doors.. Every stall is occupied.

Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the stall.
You get in to find the door won't latch. It doe… Continue

Thanks for asking, Jackie; Aaron is doing pretty well. He was just home for 10 whole days! God Bless him, he wanted to be here for a month but couldn't get off more than a total of 14. And, with all that travel all the way from Japan, and needing a couple days after he got home.. well, 10 was it! Awe. I'm glad he had 2 days after he got back to rest up tho B'coz they went right back to sea! Last I talked to him (Sunday) he sounded in desperate need of sleep! (that seems to be the order of the day any and every time they're @ sea, eh?

LOL! Wow! Jackie, you couldn't deny that boy if you were running from him screaming bloody murder!! He is just the spitting image of you!! LOL!
Awe.... what a blessing, Honey! He's so cute. What a handsome young man with such a confidant air about him. (Well done, Momma!)

Is John going to get to come home for Christmas? Claire will be home Dec. 23-Jan. 6. It will be the first time we've had our whole family together in 6 years at Christmas. Needless to say, I can't hardly wait!

What is the latest on John? Is he on base or afloat? Claire is deployed and just left Hong Kong. She's already been to Australia, the Phillippines, Thailand, and some other places I can't remember now. Please tell John hi for me and that we wish him well.
