Maryellen, wonderful, fantastic, stupendous (and all those excitable words). I'm so very very happy that you can both be there. It would've been a hard egg to swallow for you to not be able to share in that day with her. So happy for you all!

Hey Jackie... How have you been? Haven't heard from you in ages. Fill me in with what's going on with you and your sailor. My son, Jesse, is stationed aboard the USS George HW Bush in Norfolk, VA. Where is your daughter stationed? Hope you are having a good summer! Would love to hear from you!

Ok, Jackie. If you can't find it, maybe I can get a copy of it here. You can order it online though if all else fails. It's a nice pattern book, lots of pretty blocks to mix and match for afghans. The anchor block isn't hard.

Jackie...
the anchor pattern came from a Leisure Arts booklet called 60 Easy to Knit Pattern Stitches to Combine and Create Sampler Afghans - http://www.leisurearts.com/items/932/60-Easy-To-Knit-Pattern-Stitches/c/Knitting/sc/Afghans/s/newest/default.aspx

This is the link where you can order it but I found it at Michaels if you have one near you. Let me know if you have trouble getting it.

It was nice to meet you at the meet n greet. We really enjoyed meeting other Navy families. Our visit with Justin was awfully broken up but we loved it. Since he was grad n go we only got 1 hr with him Friday before he flew to Pensacola. We flew to PNS Friday also. Saturday we got to see him again on the base (it's not as nice as Great Lakes). He was only given limited liberty though. He couldn't go off base so our visiting with him was in the car or at the Exchange since there was no one around for him to ask if we could go anywhere else. We had 1 1/2 hrs with him Saturday and 3 hrs w/him yesterday before we left on our flight back home to Orlando. We'll go back to see him sometime after 10 days when he has more lenient liberty. That PIR was AWESOME-beyond our wildest dreams! Hope you had a wonderful time with your daughter.

Hi Jackie, Look for Jim later tonight. His flight gets in at 7:30 and he said he will try and come. He is getting a rental- and his motel is on the same Rd. as Flanagan's. Louise

Hi Jackie. We are staying at the Navy Lodge tomorrow also. We arrive Ohare at 1pm. I know Joanne, Nick's mom, and her family are staying there also. So along with being anxious to meet other moms, I'm looking forward to meeting her because our sons are in the same division, are buddies and are going to Pensacola together plus we only live about 1 hour away from each other. I know I've heard other moms on this site that are staying there as well I just can't remember who it was. So looking forward to meeting you soon.
