Jacque what a small world. This is Jacque in Mesa. My son, Joseph, also is going to A school in Connecticut, although he doesn't grad until Aug 1st so he'll be a few weeks behind Jason. we are counting down the days until graduation! Did Jason leave Great Lakes right after grad? We're told Joseph will not leave Great Lakes until Aug 8th so we were wondering if we should plan on staying in Great Lakes longer. I know he's able to see us that weekend but do you know if they are able to leave base while waiting to go to A School?

Hi Jacque. How was PIR??? I am sure you have AWESOME time seeing that new sailor?? I want to hear all about it!!! Duran loves Guam! He has had alot of fun there. When he first got there he said everyone was soooo nice and laid back! Locals were very very nice. hmmm.... well as far as advice for Sub School.. just hang in there. It is very different from b/c.. .alot more freedom.. which gets alot of guys in trouble. Just tell him to stay focused and on track. I am sure he will do great! Duran's main complaint about CT was it was SOOOO COOLLLDDDD!!!! ...LOL Desert rats don't do so well in the cold...lol

Hello and Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I’m glad you’ve joined us. As you start exploring you will see a great amount of chatter (IE: knowledge, support, advice, etc.) on our site (in our blogs, forums, and videos.) Before you add your point of view (POV) or ask questions, I want to share some ground rules with you. Here they are:
1) Please show respect at all times for all who belong to this community. (I like to say- Keep it civil… and everybody love everybody!)
2) For security, please do not reveal the current location of your Sailor or Officer.
3) Remember that this community is public, so anything you post (about yourself, your child or someone else) can be seen by anyone.
4) This site is moderated, so inappropriate content will be removed, like anything vulgar, hateful, violent, racist or otherwise obnoxious or illegal.
5) We may remove anything deemed inappropriate or inaccurate.
6) Members who solicit, advertise products, spam or flood on this site will be asked to walk the plank. Seriously.
7) DON'T SHOUT! Writing in capital letters means you're screaming in the digital world. That's not nice. So to emphasize a word, place *asterisks* on either side.
8) Let’s be tidy. Before beginning a new topic in the Forums, try searching at the top right of your screen to see if the subject has been addressed already. AKA- Be BEST friends with the search button!
9) Please don’t send the site's administrator (that’s me!) questions about the Navy. That’s what the Forums and your local recruiter are for. This site's administrators are NOT members of the U.S. Navy. They're here to keep the topics organized but cannot provide any Navy-related answers, nor can they respond to personal questions. (And trust me, Navy Moms answer quicker and better than I ever could)
10) Feel free to contact me with suggestions or comments about this site’s functionality.

Okay, so those are the house rules. Time to connect with other Navy moms!
I look forward to reading more about you!
Sincerely, Catherine
PS: I need you to be the unique… because you are!

Hi Jacque, whew.. you are a hard gal to track down..hehe. Joyce sent me a email and told me we had another AZ mom and I couldnt find you. Finally... anyway we are having a Navy Mom get together at my house ( in Coolidge) this Saturday from 11 to 3ish. We would love it if you could attend. Is your son in boot camp now? What is he going to be doing? My son is a submariner sonar tech. I look forward to getting to know you and learn about your sailor.
