Hi, Janet! This is Andrew's mom. A goes to BC on November 24th. Obviously, this means no Thanksgiving or Christmas with us! Can we call him? Are care packages allowed? What can go in them? What kind of phone card should I send him? I am a little sad he won't spend holidays with us - we have never not had him home for them, but the Navy is his dream. and we are happy for him in that aspect. Any advice you could give us is great! I sent Bob a letter - it will go out Monday. It's funny, I told him he doesn't know who I am, but I know all about him...and then listed a bunch of things I know about him. his car, his siblings, where he lives and even the boss's granddaughter who has a crush on him.....then I told him kind of spooky isn't it? Good thing I'm not a stalker. LOL I also sent a picture of all of us and who we are so he kind of will know us too. Can't wait. Gena's son said battlestations are week 7 day 1. That should be the Monday before PIR. All we need now is one of our kids to confirm that and we'll be good to know. Have a great Sunday. God bless.

Hello - how's my adopted sailors mom. I was thinking of sending Bob a letter to tell him how excited we are to share in his PIR day with him and show him some liberty time.
Was it your brother maybe going to PIR? I can't remember what you said. Is that still a maybe? Thanks so much for sharing information from your letters....it means a lot. Sounds like Bob is back on track - rest of the kids doing good? Take Care of you...
