Hi Jeanne,
I hadn't heard from you in a while, just checking in to see how Ian is doing. Mike finished A school and leaves Great Lakes tomorrow for Norfolk, he is stationed at Norfolk on the destroyer USS McFAUL. He is really excited to finally get started. Now comes the next adventure!! I hope all is well with you. Let me know how it's going.

Hi Jeanne, I am doing Great! I got a phone call last night from Nicole, first time I have heard her voice in over 2 months. We email daily, but she surprised me with a call! She is on her way back to the states. Homecoming is right around the corner and I am one excited mommy!
How does Ian like schooling? You said he was in SD.. is that where he will be staying, have they told him his ship yet? Nicole is based out in SD also. She is aboard the Ronald Reagan. She loves it.. I dont like the distance, but what can I do about that...lol
I bet he and your husband had a wonderful time together, it must have been hard for you to stay home, I think I would have went insaine. well Christmas is right around the corner, and many of our sailors head home during that time. His job sounds like a hard one, does he like it? How was PIR? Did you get to make it there? I sure hope you brought the tissue! How was his experience with Boot Camp?

Hi Jeanne..thanks for asking about my weekend. It was amazing. Brian said it was a close call for him in Battlestations...but he made it. He is now in Mississippi as of a few hours ago for A school. Ian will be in my prayers tonight. Hope all goes well. Let me know how you make out this weekend. Take Care..Nancy

Hi Jeanne,
I know, it doesn't seem possible that it's almost over! Mike had pneumonia (double) so I am a bit worried that he will be able to make it through battlestations. He wrote this in the letter I got last Thursday...of course the letter wasn't dated, so I had to sort of guess when this happened, and then try to convince myself that he must be okay if he was writing to me, but I have been a wreck.
My father-in-law is ok, he still can't talk and he has "graduated" from pureed food to finely ground food....it's amazing how quickly life can change. Have you heard from Ian? How's he doing? Someone said they will do battlestations this week? I don't know the timeframe for those things, but I'm going to start saying extra prayers!! See you soon!
