Hi Jen, I cried like a baby also. My parents were there too, I don't know who was the proudest me are them.My son is now in Groton, he will be there for about a year. He says that he is doing good and that it is beautiful. How is your son? Well I just want you to know that I am so happy that I found your page. I will be looking at the videos often. As they were marching in I felt so proud for my son, he did it, He survived bootcamp.

Dear Jen,
How are you doing? So your son is on Hold, it's very common. Hopefully, he won't be on Hold too long. The Navy has him busy in the meantime. My daughter Kim was doing laundry and digging ditch's while on Hold. Real fun stuff!! HAHA!

Then when she finished A School, back on Hold for two more months, before she got her orders where she'd be stationed. The famous Navy, Hurry up and wait! UGH!

I'm cutting everyone short tonight. I just gor the computer, it's after 2 AM ! HAHA!
Please stay in touch.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Jen,
Congratulations on your son's graduation. How handsome he looks!! God bless him!
I wish him all the best in A School!

Just to let you knw, in case this happens. Many times the new Sailors don't start A School right away. We call it Hurry up and Wait. He may start with in the month, and I hope he does. But just in case, many times it could be a couple of months.

The Navy will keep him busy while he's on HOLD. My daughter Kim was Hold for two months before classing uo for A School. This is so common. So, I didn't want you to get upset in case this happens.

What is he going to train for?
My daughter is an Operational Specilist, she reads the radar. She's in Virginia now.

I hope to hear from you again. Stay well and warm, the weather's been so nasty lately! HAHA! We're almost neighbors, I'm in the Bronx! HAHA!.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
