My name's Jen. My husband (Jerrad) is an Engineman on USS Fort McHenry. We have 2 children, Kyin (almost 3) and Sophie (10 mo). My husband is currently stationed in Little Creek, VA..we are still waiting for housing to become available, so we're stuck in crappy snowy Michigan.

Hi, Jen! Thank you so much for the very encouraging words about having two young children when your husband went to BC. My son is actually showing signs of realizing something is different -- he's not sleeping at night and starting to throw temper tantrums much more regularly. But, nothing I can't handle! I'm so sorry it took me so long to comment you back. For some reason, I never even realized that I had a comment wall on my page!

Jen, My son (BECC now, then gsm :() has referred to his ship, (same as your husbands) by that name as well. Could be a long winter. I guess BC was the good old days for these guys. How wonderful you are close enough to drive to visit. hak/holly

oh he has the form and all the paperwork filled out he jus has to mail me the form for me to fill out i gotta go to a base down here to get it...and im hopin he gets to live with me...i mean im goin up there to live anyways so i can see him everyday...and he'd get every weekend with me. but hopefully it'll be where i gett everynite but thinks change everyday ya know...so i need to tell him to put a chit in to live ashore?

Hi Jen, While I was on the phone today with my son I asked him if he made any friends he said lots! I was kind of asking if he knew some of the frist names mom's/wives have listed from DIV 306 he said he really only knows last names but I mentioned a few first names including Christopher who is a yeoman and he said ya I think I know him he's a nice guy. Just passing that along...
