He is supposed to leave late summer. Don't have specifics yet, but that is the military way, right? They'll let you know when they feel the need to tell you. We don't know how long he will be gone yet either.
Thanks for your prayers. I'll be praying for you this Christmas & hoping that next year you will get to spend it all together.

Just found your posting about your son passing his exams and making Petty Officer. Congratulations to him! It is a big milestone for sure. Matthew was also on cloud 9 when he made it. Now he says he plans to work towards Chief. I don't know if he has enough time left in to accomplish that. His enlistment is up in 2011 & he isn't sure he will re-up. He & Amanda would like to have a family, but she really doesn't want to raise a family alone and he wants to be around for their children's milestones. He does love being in the Navy so they have a tough decision to make.

Hi Jennifer! I just found your message on MA Navy Mom site. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. Lately it is always something around here. I'd really like to hide under the bed or somewhere and wait til it all passes. Andrew is planning to return to Bridgewater in January ... hopefully. Any ideas you have about funding would be greatly appreciated. His neurologist put him in touch with a social worker at the hospital who deals with a foundation for people with seizure disorders. They've put in a request to help with tuition,but we've heard nothing yet. Probably too soon. His 2nd EEG was last Wed (day before Thanksgiving) so we haven't gotten results yet. His doc called him last night to say he would track down the report today, he knows Andrew needs to get back to work & I think his supervisors will feel better when they have an OK from the physician. Thanks for everything. Will be in touch.

That is a lot of worry, but I guess that's what us Mum's do, right? I am very good at it actually . . . :) LOL! You should try and upload those pictures. I would love to see your Jon. Please feel free to look at mine. I actually uploaded a bunch of them this afternoon so I dont think they have all been approved and release to my page yet. I am sure they will be there tomorrow though.

You are going to love skype! It helps so much to see his face when we talk. He still doesnt know where his orders will land him. He filled out his dream sheet a few weeks ago. First pick is in Maryland, second and third are in Virginia. He did say that there is a chance he may end up in Washington State. I guess we just have to wait. Once he knows for sure he will get to home for 2 weeks before he has to report for duty again. Then he starts his specialized training. So, where the heck in North Hampton? I am in West Groton. It's near Shirley, Lunenburg, leominster area.

Bahrain?! Wow . . .do you get to talk much? Do you get to talk on the internet using scype?

John's ATI school is the longest I guess. Most of the kids he graduated bootcamp with left months ago. He has been in school there since late March. O really can't wait to see him.
