Hello Jennifer,
Navy For Moms didn’t exist until March 2008. N4Ms has been God send for so many of us, providing an incredible internet support system – a place to ask questions, express our concerns and share our joys. Since you live in Northern California, I just want to invite you to join the Northern California Navy Moms Group. We have had four get-togethers this month. We have one more event coming up in October - opportunity to meet other Navy moms.

Sept 5 - San Francisco (6 attended)
Sept 9 - Sacramento (14 attended)
Sept 13 - Nevada City (5 attended)
Sept 20 - San Jose (11 attended)
October 25 - Los Altos - upcoming

My son is currently out on deployment - on a sub.
Regards, Bea

Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine

We stayed at the Homewood Suites of Lincolnshire. It was awesome! They have an indoor pool. Only draw back was that it took us 10 min's to get to the base. BUT The train station that went into Chicago/Navy Pier was 4 min's away. We used the train every time we went into Chicago. The Sailors get in free at the Sears Towers and The Architural (sp) tours on the boats that leave from navy pier. i'm sure there are other things that give our sailors comp admissions, but those are the two we had seen. it was an amazing experience. If you have a PIR date, I would go ahead and book. Check out this website www.bootcampgraduations.com They have alot of info. i wouldn't book through them, go directly to the hotel in Lincolnshire. Tell them you are there for the graduation and you should get a grad rate. They do go fast! i only paid 89 a night. have a great afternoon! Don't be a stranger. I might not be on all the time.. Spongee (me) just moved and I'm taking a break from unpacking.. oops don't tell hubby .. I'm addicted to this site. Also check out this group here on this site. Amazing People and friends I have met.
