Hi Jeremys Mom: I have been looking for another mom whose son is in Div: 255 Ship:3! I have a nephew/godson who is in the same division. I too got the "call" today around 5 pm. He sounded sooo tired! It was so nice to talk to him for over a half hour without feeling like a timer was going to go off at any moment. I am so excited for the PIR. are you going to a Meet and Greet? If so which one and where?

Hi Jeremy's Mom,
Has your son said anythomg about being one of the older recruits? Mine is 22 and he made a comment about dealing with the "younger prople." Sounds funny that between 18 and 22 they feel much older. Did your son live away from home before joining the Navy? Mine did for about 2 years so he's used to being independant.

IT3 = Informations Systems Technician Pettty Officer 3rd Class & SH = Ships Serviceman. Is your son still in boot camp? Oh yeah, pin cushion from all the shots & then they sit on the floor a lot!!! It is really difficult for us while they are in boot camp but you can write lots of letters as they LOVE mail call; it's like Christmas for them:) It will get better once he's out of boot camp; it's the not be able to speak w/ them that is a killer.

Hi Sherry, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT3 & my son Tim (19), an SH, has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What is your son/daughter doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat
