Lyn, enjoy your time with Alex. Our visit with Kyle went too fast. But at least he did get to come home. Miss him already. At least he is back in the states and I can call him or text him to call me.

About me:
I have two wonderful boys, and have been married to my dear Husband Steve, for 27 years. Kyle is a submariner on the USS Miami stationed out of Groton. He has been in the Navy for two years. My other son, Brent is working and going to college.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Don't worry! During boot camp, I slept better than I did when he was home. I didn't have to worry about where he was, who he was with and what time he was going to be home. Some one was taking care of that for me!!!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Jerri!!
YES !! I definitely want to be there for the homecoming!!! I understand I need to get my name on the 'list'. I have found the ombudsman...but not very happy with the responses I received. I need to know how to go about getting my phone number on the list...I have emailed her. I will keep in touch with you & Lyn Love...She has been a godsend to me!!!
~ And yes....I was pretty sure you had no relation to Mick Jagger's wife...LOLOLOL

Hi Jerri ~ My son is riding along with the USS Miami....he is a CS on the North Carolina, which is in dry-dock at the moment. My question to you is....Do you have the information for the ombudsman? He gave me the name & phone number but the number either was disconnected or wrong. I'm getting a little frustrated because I really would like to be part of the emails of updates on how everything is going. I won't post the name here, or the number.....but if you could, would you please email me the information so I can be added to her list? I really appreciate your help. I have been on line al day trying to find a link...to no avail. Thanks to you in advance!

Jerri, did you know Riscky's Catch? I'm gonna have to invite my friend of 32 yrs from there to come. I ahvn't seen her in 4 yrs or so. Wahts planned for the north side? She bartended at Billy Bobs while I was at the Treehouse and the Petroleum Club and Duffy's and the Burgundy Tree and Pipp's and. well you get the idea.

Oh, Jerri! You're breakin' my heart! I know Riscky's well... my grandparents went to school (Northside HS) with Joe Riscky, who had his served BBQ from the meat counter of his little grocery on Azle Ave (my grandad's little grocery was at Azle and Long Ave, about 1/2 west). Then my mom went to HS with Pete Riscky, who made the chain of BBQ restaurants in FW. I would kill right now for a couple slices of their BBQ bologna!! Thanks for thinking of me... Hugs, ks.
