My name is Samantha. My wonderful boyfriend is a sailor and I am so proud of him. The distance IS hard, but luckily he is stationed in Norfolk which isnt too awfully far from here! I'm from Mocksville North Carolina, a small town where everybody knows everybody. So, Jesse has a lot of support here at home which helps me get thru the days as well. I miss him a lot but it makes each time seeing one another even better! I truly beleive that the distance makes us even stronger. I love meeting new people and sharing stories, so feel free to add me :)

Jesse joined on july 1, 2008. He went to boot camp in Great Lakes, IL...got meritorious promoted in boot camp to E-2 or AA (airman apprentice)...graduated august 29, 2008. He went to Pensacola, FL for A-School...graduated top 10 of his class on october 29, 2008. His first duty station was on the USS George H. W. Bush CVN77 in Newport News, VA. His job (rate) is ABE [aviation boatswain's mate (equipment)]. His rank now is E-3 or AN (airman)----so he's a ABEAN. He plans to take the E-4 exam in September...WHEN he passes, he will be a 3rd class petty officer or a ABE3

No I live in a small town in VA called Wytheville, but I live on the other side of VA from Norfolk. =[ I live about an hour and a half from Winsten-Salem though!

Oh wow,i know what ya mean! it feels like ive been with Dave for years,haha! But thats neat,i think,im not sure but isnt Elizabeth City only like an hour from here?! I think its pretty close. Daves friends is getting stationed there or going to some school there for a few months and i remember them saying it was close.That'll be good for the two of you!

He's stationed in California! And I live in VA, so it sucks so bad...he's currently deployed, but when he gets back I hope he gets leave so he can come home for a bit.

Aww thats cute,thats awesome that you get to see him as much as you do! I was looking thru your slideshow and you two are adorable together! Whats your bf do in the Navy? Norfolk is right down the road from here! My bf Dave is stationed at Little Creek its borderline VA beach & Norfolk.Dave and i lived in the same small town in south FL and we went to the high school but didnt really know each other. Weve been together about 10 months.He's been in the Navy for about a year and 5 months,he's a diver.I just recently moved up here to be with him about 2 weeks ago! Sucks though because he's getting deployed in October for 6 months..definately not looking forward to that! You might have mentioned it but how long have you and Jesse (?) been together? and do you plan on moving to VA to be with him at any point? :)
