I sent you a friend request, yes. You must have approved it. I will have to ask Phyllis her maiden name to see if you know her. The other name I sent you is up your way and very active on this site, especially with helping to send our sailors packages overseas. We met this summer down by Edwardsville, and then again this October up in Bloomington.

I don't know her maiden name, which is what you could know her by--she lives down by me. But, on the Illinois group page, look up Karen C--she is close by you. Let me know if you need her link to her page.

Jessica - if you give me your address I will send you a "sample" candle. I have a few that have slight imperfections or air bubbles in the wax. They still burn perfectly though.

Have a great day!

Hi Jessica. I saw your question to the BC Moms about "letting go". I used to be a Mentor Mom on there. I wrote a blog last year to try to help Moms like you who are dealing with that stage of life, struggling with the transition from child to adult. It's called "an Open Palm". You are welcome to go to my page and read it. :) Mine just turned 21. After a year in the Navy, we are closer than ever, just in a different, adult level way. I'm sure you will be too. They grow up quickly in BC, it is a real time of maturing. You'll be amazed at the poised and confident Sailor that stands before you on PIR day! Enjoy the experience and the journey. God Bless. :-)

Dear Jessica - My son Jesse is less than 2 weeks from BC graduation. I write 1-3 letters a day. He writes 1-6 a week (usually just 1 or 2) but he is very busy! We are closer than ever - he says my letters are better than sleep or food (no exciting content - home stuff, jokes, encouragememnt) and we love each other so. Cant wait to hold him and see him in his uniform. Has been a great adventure for both of us! come see pictures on my page - let me know if I can help!
