Happy belated Christmas and New Year. We are just back into town, and glad to be home. Hope everyone is doing well. How is Sailor Mandela? Hope his Christmas was joyous. I am in the process of setting up a lunch or dinner for Navy Moms. Details will be forth coming. Hope you will be able to join us.

Im so glad to hear that you got a letter from Mandela. THose 3 week willgo by swift. We just came back last week from our Son's graduation. It was beautiful. We are more worried about them than they are about us.My son said he had the time of his life in boot camp. He sure is a changed young man from the one who left 8 weeks ago. He' so much more mature and calm. It really worked out for the best for him. You guys are still in my prayers. Be Blessed this new year.

Yes I'm still adjusting to the "not being home for holidays" as well. My son hasn't been home for any holidays nor birthdays since serving. As long as I'm able to pick the phone up and here his voice I am good. This time last year my son was fighting in Iraq. Don't let the holidays get you down. Sometimes we have to love from afar but we're good remember we serve an awesome God.

Hello Jo Ann, just wanted to stop by and luv on you. We're family now. Yes, it's a big adjustment. My son has been in the navy 3 years now and I'm still adjusting. Just stay focused and faithful. Our children look to us for strength and encouragement. My son calls me his biggest motivator. Mandela will be just fine. I have him lifted in prayer. God bless.

Hi JoAnn hope you're feeling well today. What division is Mandela in? When is his PIR? It gets easier by the day. The first two week are the hardest. This is the first Thanksgiving I've spent without my son. Just know, God will not put more on you than you can bear.
