About me:
I am a nurse and have been for 30yrs so my son has always known a Mom who works and is a Mom. I have always encouraged my son to join the military because I felt it would give him a great education. So when he told us he was joining the Navy I was relieved and sad cuz I knew then he was becoming a man. I have a 14 year old daughter so I am a so called older parent, I did not realize how hard it was going to be for my daughter with her brother gone. We have grown closer and share tears, laughs, and conversations about Colton. My husband has also had a hard time as his fishing, hunting and outdoorsman son is not home to do things with. Before our son left the two alpha males would butt heads but now with him away I see a sadness or almost lost soul in my husband. I am so proud of my son and know this has been a good career move for him and us.
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be patient as they dont have the time to tell you everything with that first phone call. Its hard not knowing if their ok or how thier doing so be PATIENT!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings.

JoVonne - Welcome to N4M's!!!

My brother and dad live in Great Falls, Montana!!!
Russ and Frances Kingrey - do you know them??

How is the weather? My dad lives in a travel trailer next to my brother and his wife. His water and sewer pipes froze a couple of weeks ago - and they have not defrosted the last time I talked to him!!!
