- About me:
- I am a nurse and have been for 30yrs so my son has always known a Mom who works and is a Mom. I have always encouraged my son to join the military because I felt it would give him a great education. So when he told us he was joining the Navy I was relieved and sad cuz I knew then he was becoming a man. I have a 14 year old daughter so I am a so called older parent, I did not realize how hard it was going to be for my daughter with her brother gone. We have grown closer and share tears, laughs, and conversations about Colton. My husband has also had a hard time as his fishing, hunting and outdoorsman son is not home to do things with. Before our son left the two alpha males would butt heads but now with him away I see a sadness or almost lost soul in my husband. I am so proud of my son and know this has been a good career move for him and us.

- Be patient as they dont have the time to tell you everything with that first phone call. Its hard not knowing if their ok or how thier doing so be PATIENT!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

How is the weather? My dad lives in a travel trailer next to my brother and his wife. His water and sewer pipes froze a couple of weeks ago - and they have not defrosted the last time I talked to him!!!
