so sorry you can't make it. didn't realize that you didn't get a paycheck not working the summer with a school. you're lucky you got another job. I've had 2 really great interviews. one was for asst. branch mgr at trustco bank. I got thru all the steps with flying colors. impressive local interview (she wanted to introduce me to her boss) then got shot down by corporate offices in NY. she was surprised, said there's nothing I could've done differently in the interview. hate that. so little discouraged (lot really). went yesterday to check into stenography school.

Brit is in her first year of highschool. she got into the criminal justice magnet. was really hard at first but she's adapting. she's in soccer. Alyssa last yr of middle school. her grades are excellent and she's in her volleyball season.

Justin loves his job. he's coming home for 2 weeks at Christmas. we know we won't see much of him so he can see all his friends. but him just being here is nice. can't wait. there's rumor of his whole division deploying in the summer. Nick is deploying in January you said? boy I'm not looking forward to those feelings of deployment-that'll be rough.

enjoy your time with Nick and happy Thanksgiving.

there is a really big event Saturday. let me know if you'll go and, if so, I will go also. I wasn't going to go because, did I tell you?, I'm on unemployment again. I resigned from Liberty Natl. October 2nd. too much crap plus, not to mention, the last 3 weeks I had zero paychecks even though I was selling my weekly quota because of customer cancellations. it was costing me $90 a week in gas to bring home zero paychecks. urgh...here's details:

Missed seeing you last weekend. We had a wonderful weekend in Daytona Beach. Perhaps you'd like to come to Orlando (UCF area) this Saturday for our N4M get together. We're sponsoring an entire ship of sailors this time-250 or so. see the link:

I'm glad Nick got to come home for a while. Those visits go so terribly fast. No, I hear from other moms that have been at this for years-you never get used to it. My nightly prayers always ask for God to keep Justin safe and happy and to return him to Central Fla to live and be profitable after he's done with his Navy enlistment (whenever he decides that may be).

Hey-we're heading to Daytona Beach tomorrow at 2pm for the weekend. We're staying at the Seabreeze. Girls both taking a friend. I know Saturday night we're going out to dinner at Doc's (I believe that's what it's called). It's on the waterway where boats come in. Real cheap seafood and casual atmosphere-we sit outside on picnic tables and feed fish at the pier. If you all would like to bring the boys and meet us and kick back some beers that'd be great. Heck, if you'd even like to do that on the beach with us too you're welcome. I'm taking a case of corona. The boys would be happy...4 pretty 14 and 15 year olds (well they're 13 and 14 til Oct). Sound fun? If so give me your cell again. Mine is 407-4907-9294. Would love to see you guys again and get to know you better.

Justin is now a janitor. He's bummed. He has to do that for 1 month. They had nobody to do it and he's low man on the totem pole. Other than that he was really liking it. He's a deployable unit and there's rumor of deployment after the first of the year sometime. Gosh I miss him so badly. Mind you when he's home he's always gone with his friends but at least he's here in body and I feel like a complete family again. Now I know how our parents felt!

Justin's number is 407-462-7982 if Nick wants to text him. I gave him Nick's number also, but I'm sure he still has it. Justin also is on Facebook. Yeah we're ready for school to start around here. Brittany got into a criminal justice magnet for her first year of high school and the money it has already cost us because she needs 2 complete uniforms. Now girls will be in 2 different schools again. That part isn't so good but we'll work it out. Justin likes what he's doing. He's talking that he'll be home for Christmas and we're hoping so. He doesn't want to come home this month as he'd planned because he doesn't want to only be home 5 days plus burn up the leave time for Christmas. When did Nick get to WA state? Did you all go with him? Did he fly or drive? Did you get to have time with him before he went? I know so many questions...

Hi Joanne, Congrats on your son's graduation this coming week. I am suprised he is graduation on the 29th. I thought all graduations were on Fridays ??? Do you know where you son is going for is permanent duty station. Luckily, my son is 109 miles from home and so far has been home every week. Too bad his car gets horrible mileage. But we did find out he can get a train pass for $20 a year to anywhere in California. He is having a hard time getting reimbursed for his Xmas travel home. And they won't give him his E3 because they said he didn't earn it, even though we have the certificate and letter of recommendation. He has had nothing but trouble since he joined. Thank goodness his spirits are still high. He loves his new job as AC and after what I am reading, he might be one of the last ones to even have this great job. I hope Nick's travels are smooth and you get to see him soon.

Me too! That way Justin would have somebody he's allowed to talk to (unless Nick is a higher rank than him). It's weird Justin says he's still an E2 (I think that's what he said) but yet he's making about $200 more per paycheck since he's been there. I said 'maybe you ranked up'. He said no but he didn't know what it was. He doesn't want to rank up because he doesn't want the responsibilites that come with it he said.

Hi Joanne. We're fine here. Justin is in Whidby Island, WA. He says it's an air base so if Nick gets that I'm sure that's where he'd go. The planes are going all night long so it's hard for him to sleep sometimes. He likes his job though. I worry about him because he's not allowed to talk to anybody or hang out with anybody because he's at a lower rank than all of them. It's just he, xbox and cable tv. He says he's fine with that but his momma worries.

I'm still at my insurance job and still hating it. Money's good but not worth my nerves. I'm holding out hope for this office manager job in August. Don't think I told you about that. It's for Classic Cookie (they do fundraising). The owner is Kelvin Moses. He's a pro player with the New York Jets. He flys up there and plays during season and has moved here to be co-owner of this franchise. He's really really nice. He said I was his top pick that he just needed to work out details with his partner and then we'd speak in July. Hope it's enough money that I can swing it because I'd sure love to get out of sales.

How is Nick? How much longer is his schooling?

Well I'm glad they're at least staying in touch via texting. It would be great if they could be out there together.
