Hi, Angela found out she is going to Key West Fl. she will be coming home around middle of April. She ended up as the leader of her group. I'am so proud of her. But now since she is going to another place she will have to meet new friends and people but she can do it. It's just the 1st part of going in that is a little scary. Japan came up but the guy in front of her grab that one. She will be in Key West for 2 yrs and then well we'll see then. So your daughter will be going to Key West middle of April. Angela will be going toward the end around 4-20 lets try to get them to meet each other. It would make Angela fill so much better to meet someone from around home. Let me know. Well take care and God bless our kids.

That is so good that they get to spend some time together. (Sisters)
Angela my daughter wants her sister to come down to go to some of the
beaches down there (Pensicola) I still worry about Angela and talk to her
each day. Her school will start Jan 28 she said she has been trying to keep
busy until it starts and it will be different when it does. She is the kind that
do the bar thing or wild things and I hope she meets up with friends that she
can hang with once school starts. Also where in fl did you grow up at?

Lorna and Oren arrived home for the holidays a few hours ago. It is so fabulous to have them home, if ever so briefly. Both are doing well. Lorna will complete her A school in January and has her orders. Oren remains in the Great Lakes area through mid 2009 for his schooling then will join her in Norfolk. I will savor these days ahead while they are home. Merry Christmas to all!

Angela is doing good and likes the area in pensacola. We have went to see her and it is a very nice place also big place.
Sorry I've not e-mailed, been really busy with taken care of things around home and keeping up with Angie.
PIR for Angie was great. We enjoyed it up there. But like Pensacola better. At this time we are looking for a Church there
that she can get into that has a good Youth group. Well better go for now. Well looking at the date Lorna and Oren have

I am the mother of three fabulous young adults and NEVER considered that any of my three children would join the armed forces. Alas, my middle child, my daughter, and her husband have both enlisted. My father was career Navy so I have some familiarity with Navy life.

Although Lorna was a 'grad and go' yesterday at PIR the Navy did not get her onto a flight out to MI so she was able to spend the day on liberty with Oren and us. What a blessing to us all from the hand of God to this mother's heart!!

Time Passes

Lorna is settling in to her job in Norfolk while Oren continues his schooling in GL. They have been separated since early September and will not be reunited till August. Long haul for both of them. They hope to be able to spend some brief time together in the next month or so depending upon duty schedules.
