Welcome to the Bangor/Bremerton/Kitsap Sailors and Families group. This is a very helpful, informative group of moms and dads. Some of the members live in the area and are valuable sources of information on where to stay, how to get around, and where to go to visit. Other members, like myself, have sailors stationed there and this is a great place to keep up on what is going on in their environment. I will post your message on the group page.

Joey,
I am flying in late July 15th very early 16th. We will drive back to Texas after processing out on Friday. I will ask Trenton if he knows Richard, he did tell me that three of them all got the Jackson (Gold Crew), he was happy he would be on a boat where he knew people. This is a very exciting time for him and he syas after over a year he is "almost" to his boat.

Hi! I haven't had a chance to get on here in a while. My aunt and uncle are John & Carolyn Shepard. I really miss Vegas, I used to spend my summers there as a kid with them. My cousins and I used to have so much fun there. I haven't been back to visit since the 80's and I'm sure a lot has changed!

Has Richard settled in and started classes? Rave was scheduled to start yesterday but they have put them on hold. She will not start until Oct 17 now. She sent me an email this morning and said she took a job in the legal office to help pass the time while she is on hold.

I'm so sorry you didn't get to spend all the time you wanted with your son. I'm so glad I don't have to share my daughter's time. i know that day is coming but for now she is all mine!
Raven will finally be moving out of ship 06 to the other side of the base in the morning. She can't wait to feel like a normal sailor (whatever that is) she says it's odd being where she is everyone is on some sort of medical or fitness hold. We haven't been able to send her a cell phone or laptop yet so she has to stand in line to use the phone.
We are planning on making the trip the second week in October. I had to wait for a another good deal in airfare before we could re book. You know I bought non refundable tickets the first time around.
