Looking forward to being part of this group. My son just entered Boot Camp on Tuesday, Dec. 15th. Can't stop thinking about him and doing my best to just keep breathing right now. Sure hope it gets easier.

- Deployments can last longer than six months, and the kids love it when you send packages, any piece of home will make them feel good.

Deb S said… - Joyce, sorry i didnt respond sooner. I talked to Brent and he does know your son and they do go bowling together (when brent can afford it). I noticed in your pictures that Jeff has his AC wings...when did he get those? Brent still has to get his flight hours before he gets his, he said. We talked yesterday about me pinning them on, I think I would be way too emotional to do it....probably stab him an get blood on his uniform....lol Its so hard to info out of these guys sometimes...it good to hear from others, it helps to keep me informed....hope to hear from you soon.

So what schooling is your son, or is it son-in-law, A-Rod, taking at Great Lakes? Keith is actually looking forward to this deployment because he figures that once he gets back it won't be too much longer and he will be done.

My daughter Kim is the first. My father was drafted in WW 2 and was extremly anti-military. I am so thankful he is not around to know about Kim.
I'm still new. Kim finished A School and is waiting to be stationed. She was trained to read the radar.
