It's been a few years since I sent my son off, but I remember clearly getting that box. I took it upstairs to his room to go through it in private. I just joined and reading through the blogs brings back memories of the problems I or my son had. Letting them go, having them home, letting go again. The airfares. layovers, cost of coming home. New uniforms at the last minute, cut off phone calls, lonliness, lack of supplies, money! I thought I was done with my tears but they jumped right back into my eyes remembering the last almost four years of being a navy mom.
