My son and I had a wonderful time visiting my other son on the F & F day. I was really grateful for the opportunity to meet the people in his department. I would gladly go again.

The Navy Lodge is on or very near the base, but as I it understand your sailor needs to make the reservation. My son went there to make the reservation and I called with a credit card. Here is their number you can call and find out 757-489-2656. It…

Was proud and encouraged it
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
I forgot I think the graduation was a Friday and we arrived on Thursday, I got a email from Ben, he wants to know if it is Mark or David, he is out on the carrier but he gets email so have him write Ben
You are right it isn't camp and he will not leave with you. A couple things can happen depending , first the 8 weeks is a rough estimate. some recruits left immediately for A school. Ben's did not start for about 8 weeks so he stayed on base and did what ever he was told to do. Lots of guard duty and washing floors. You will not hear from him for up to about a month, Ben's recruiter had them keep their cell phones for the flight so that last time I heard from him was when he landed at the airport. About a month later I got a phone call and started to get letters. As they get closer to graduation they will give you a date, but pretty much guesstimate the time frame. American has a direct flight that when we went was pretty reasonable. We stayed at the Marriot, with was nice. They have curfew even while you are there , but they are so proud they have to stay in uniform.
Last November? I thought I have seen you in this time....the past couple years have flown by. I have some questions which I've asked before but can't seem to get a specific answer. I suspect there isn't a definitive answer.
If he starts bootcamp feb 8th. and it's 8 weeks long. assuming he does well.how do we plan for graduation? of course I'd like to use some frequent flier miles and need to do that as early as possible...and atleast block out time from work. Is it a particular day of the week they graduate? does he leave with us after graduation....I know this isn't camp. what
Judy - I heard that Benny joined the Navy.....Mark leaves Feb 8th. OUr lives have crossed so many times....OMG - heard he is getting or just got married from Amanda Cabassa.
